October 1, 2020 — DocXellent will champion National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM) - held annually in October - for a fourth year, joining a growing global effort to promote the awareness of online safety and privacy.
NCSAM is a collaborative effort among businesses, government agencies, colleges and universities, associations, nonprofit organizations and individuals committed to this year’s overarching theme: “Do Your Part. #BeCyberSmart.” The theme empowers individuals and organizations to own their role in protecting their part of cyberspace, with a particular emphasis on the key message for 2020: “If You Connect It, Protect It.” If everyone does their part – implementing stronger security practices, raising community awareness, educating vulnerable audiences or training employees – our interconnected world will be safer and more resilient for everyone.
“DocXellent is committed to placing the highest priority on the security of our own and our customer’s data; therefore, cybersecurity is a critical part of everything we do,” says Gary Carignan, DocXellent’s President. “We want to make sure that all of our employees and business partners are aware as much as possible of the threats that exist, best practices to stay safe online, and how each of us play a part in cyber security. Awareness training and programs such as the National Cybersecurity Awareness Month are key to getting individuals to understand their vital role in the company’s cybersecurity program, and to learn how they can prevent security issues by employing best practices every day.”
Now in its 17th year, NCSAM was created as a collaborative effort between government and industry to ensure every American has the resources they need to stay safer and more secure online. DocXellent is proud to support this far-reaching online safety awareness and education initiative by posting cyber security tips on our social media accounts throughout the month of October.
